Flames continue winning ways. Down the Wild 4-1
2024-03-24When the sun rose this morning and with the snowing briefly settled. The news came out that the Calgary Flames pulled old off an upset last night.
Facing the Minnesota Wild, who have been a juggernaut all season, the odds were stacked against the Flames.
In what appeared to be a balanced game, The Calgary Flames were able to score 3 straight times and finished the game with a 4-1 win. The vaulted Wild defense appeared pedestrian compared to what they have shown all season, as a 4-1 score appears to be the Wilds larges margin of goals allowed in the loss.
After a lengthy losing streak the Calgary Flames have managed to win 5 straight and now sit 3rd in the Pacific.
The Calgary Flames now head out on the road for a short 3 game road trip to Columbus, Toronto, and Montreal. Considering the Flames road record is a dismal 2-6-2, the message to the players was simple. Play like you did against the Wild and you will change that road record.
